Privacy policy

How Creditcrest Technologies Pty Ltd handles personal information. Version 1, 29 September 2026.

Who we are

Creditcrest Technologies Pty Ltd (ACN 702 318 778) makes lending software for Australian credit providers and brokers, and Mundane Read. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988. Write to privacy@creditcresttechnologies.com.au, or to Suite 17, 89 Jones Street, Ultimo NSW 2007.

Two kinds of information

Our own. The people who write to us, the staff of lenders and brokers who use our software, developers who take a sandbox key, and visitors to this website.

A lender’s. When a lender uses our software, its applicants’ and borrowers’ information passes through it: application answers, bank transactions, identity checks, loan records. We handle that information for the lender and on its instructions. The lender’s own privacy policy says how it is used, and the records are kept in the lender’s own database, not ours. We read them in transit and keep none of them.

What we collect, and why

InformationWhy
Your name, email, phone, employer and what you write to usTo reply, to set up and support your use of the software, and to invoice
Staff sign-in details and what staff do in the softwareTo keep an audit trail the lender needs, and to keep accounts secure
Counts of what a lender used (a decision, a check, a call)To invoice. The count names the lender and the item, never the borrower
Website visits, counted without cookiesTo know which pages are read. No profile of you is built
Anything typed into the sandboxTo show the software working. Use invented details only; it is cleared at least once a day

Cookies

This website sets none. The software uses only the cookies it needs to work: a sign-in session, the progress of an application, and a light or dark theme.

Credit information

Creditcrest is not a credit provider and not a credit reporting body. Where a lender obtains a credit report or reports to a credit reporting body through our software, it does so under its own agreement with that body, and the information is kept in the lender’s records.

Who it goes to

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the suppliers that run parts of the service, and only for that purpose. Some are outside Australia, including in the United States and Spain. The current list, with what each does and where, is on Data and suppliers. We tell lenders before adding one.

Security and retention

Everything travels encrypted. Borrower information is not stored by us at all. Our own records are kept only as long as needed: invoicing records for seven years, as tax law requires; request logs for no more than 30 days. More on Security.

Seeing and correcting your information

Ask at privacy@creditcresttechnologies.com.au. We reply within 30 days. If the information belongs to a lender’s application or loan, we pass the request to that lender the same day and tell you we have.

Complaints

Write to the same address. We acknowledge within one business day and answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
